Fun with Alcohol Inks, Taught by Wendy Smith-Rogers

About this event

 Alcohol Inks

This medium is just plain fun. You can create beautiful bright splashes of color and paintings on different sizes of tiles, glass, and non-porous black and white paper with the ink. To move the ink around the surface, you can paint, spray and splash.  Alcohol Inks are easily diluted or erased with rubbing alcohol. We will begin on 4 x 4 tiles that can be made into coasters and then move to paper and other sized tiles.  All materials included.

 Wendy Smith-Rogers

Art has always been part of my life. Creating pieces of art from a wide variety of mediums began in my childhood. I have taken art classes in school throughout my education and in retirement, always coming away with new ideas. As a retired educator, I love teaching art to children at the Mountain Artists Guild and adults in my studio.
Someone told me I was an ADA, Attention Deficit Artist, since I love drawing, all forms of painting, alcohol ink, encaustic wax, and mixed media. It’s true, in that focusing on just one medium would bore me.
My husband, Steve, and I feel so fortunate to live in Prescott with our two golden retrievers and two cats with our home backing up to the Prescott National Forest and Granite Mountain. The views in all directions remind us of nature’s beauty and serve as an inspiration in my art work. Steve, as a woodworker, has incorporated his craft into our home with craftsman style accents throughout.
