Visit Paint Wickenburg

Paint Wickenburg is a collaboration between the Sigler Western Museum and the Wickenburg Art Center to promote the arts through the artistic portrayal of our historic downtown. For one day, artists set up their easels across downtown and paint Wickenburg as they see it: its streets, architecture, statuary, and green spaces.

Stroll downtown to watch the artists at work. The painting area runs from the Hassayampa bridge to Bashas’ and from there along Frontier Street to the train station.

At the end of the day, the new paintings are hung for a reception and sale at the Sigler Western Museum’s Cultural Crossroads Learning Center. Unsold works then go on display at the Wickenburg Art Center in the weeks that follow.

Paint Wickenburg is open to all artists working in 2D media, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, pencil, charcoal, ink, and mixed media. Every work is painted on site in a single day, and Wickenburg must be the subject.
