GOLD RUSH DAYS 2012
Ready for Spring!
We had astounding weather for Gold Rush Days — an anomaly for this year's harsh winter. The great weather brought record-breaking crowds to our two events: the Artisan's Fair and the Fine Art Show and Sale. We don't have an easy way to count the atten-dance to the Artisan's Fair because attendees enter the Fair from any location on the perimeter of Stone Park. However, Marian Koegele, Chair of the Artisan's Fair at Gold Rush, received positive comments from many vendors who had record sales, and she has already received many applications for next year's show. We can count the attendance to the Fine Art Show and Sale inside the library with the single entrance to this indoor show.

JURIED ART and CRAFT SHOW and SALE
For over 45 of the Gold Rush years, the Wickenburg Art Club has brought artists and fine craftspeople to the Wickenburg Library's lawn to exhibit and sell their creations (the Library is across the street from the Community Center). Professional artists jury prospective exhibitors who hope to rent one of their 145 - 10' x 10' spaces. The Art Club arranges with town managers for free RV “dry camping” and with the Citizen's Patrol to provide night security.
One of the Art Club's goals is to stimulate and encourage creative works in the arts. For that reason, the fee for booth space during Gold Rush has been kept at a reasonable price. If you are interested in participating, please read the Artisans Rules and carefully read the criteria for being accepted into the Wickenburg Art Club's Arts and Craft Show and Sale held during Gold Rush. Download the Artisans Application and apply only if you meet the stated criteria.
FINE ART SHOW
Artists are invited to enter a Wickenburg Art Club sponsored competition for cash prizes and ribbons! It is held in the Library's exhibition room during Gold Rush Days. Each year a different well-known art professional is hired to perform the judging of entries. Please read the Art Show Description to view the criteria. Information on the competition will be sent to artists accepted for participation in the Art and Craft Show and Sale held during Gold Rush Days.
Most Artistic Booth 2011
Mr. Woo Bong Yi was chosen this year as the best representative of what an artist booth should look like, well designed and it was a bonus that he was also demonstrating his technique. Presenting the ribbon was our Gold Rush Chair, Marian Van Cleave-Koegele with his wife, No Suk Yi.
